Speaking as the least attractive fat guy in most rooms, I can say the snickering isn't that bad. Its the well wishing green peacers who throw buckets of water on me at the beach and yell "Help me keep him wet until me can get him back out to open sea!" that are really bothersome.

It's the apparent lack of comedy that's perplexing considering your title. Perhaps also, a request for someone more skilled in Photoshop is in order as well, I will not be submitting my resume for that one, but the need is clearly dire from your example.
I like having fun and cutting up, but I also think it's crappy to rip on people for their looks. Going forward I will simply avoid the topics, but I felt it was important (if only for myself) to put myself on the map on this topic. It's interesting because I recently ran into a similar issue on another forum where someone posted a pic of of a we'll say "nonconformist" looking woman smoking a pipe, and various disparaging comments were made. I posted something similar to what I posted here and also stated that maybe the pipe smoking community wasn't big enough that people should be mocking other pipe smokers and potentially turning them off to the group. Sure enough someone who knew that woman and was a member posted and took offense.
Clearly, the likelihood of that happening in this case is beyond miniscule, but it's one thing to say, "Hey I can laugh at myself." and another to say "Hey let's laugh at others." It's the same reason I hate that "People of Walmart" garbage. (That and a deep seated fear that I may turn up there myself)

I agree with you to an extent, kabong30. IF the first picture were one of someone who wash unaware of it existence, I'd be inclined to agree with you. Let's not laugh at this person. But SINCE someone took the picture and she was aware that the picture was being taken, she has to realize that it isn't impossible that it will make its way around the internet. People of Walmart, sure, I don't find it amusing either. More like sad. But anything else, it's fair game. [/rant]
