The (Un)Official Secret Santa 2020!

So after @Pit&Pipes received my secret Santa, he sent me a 2ND PACKAGE!!! I couldn't believe it, and he included many things I have never tried. He also included a portion of Figgy pudding which isnt pictured. On top of all this, we were able to make a trade and I was able to get some more aged Escudo! Not only was this a Christmas blessing but also has the makings of a solid pipe-based friendship! So many of you have been kind to me and included me! @Pit&Pipes , @coyja , and @woodsroad thank you and Merry Christmas!

I just want to say that while I have had an awesome day spending a quiet Christmas with the wife and dogs, nothing has put me in the Christmas spirit quite like reading this thread today and seeing the generosity of forum members. You all rock! Merry Christmas everyone!

Then, Monday I got a PM from @rmpeeps letting me know he was passing through and he had something for me.

We met at my closest B&M, where he gifted me a brick of the new Tabac Manil Valute. As much as I enjoyed the La Brumeuse, this should be a treat.

I feel like a turd because peeps caught me in work overdrive mode and I was unable to carve an appropriate amount of time and energy for the occasion. Hopefully, we can bump heads again once the plague has subsided.

War Horse Snot! The Green was meant to taste like Condor but didn't. The Oompa Loompa's at the Wonka Baccy Factory must have pulled the wrong lever in the flavor device. For all the comments you read I have actually met people at pipe shows that love the stuff and think it is the acme of Russ O's blending skills. Personally I am relieved that we sold out to the C.I guys since Dan was seriously thinking of trying to develop an everlasting plug that changed flavors!

Looking back the Green not without it's charm - It was memorable - I still remember that toilet bowl fresh taste - ? Just Kiddin', it was okay?

So, just 30 minutes ago I went to check the mail. There was a package in one of the lockers, and I thought “well, I didn’t order anything. Perhaps my wife did.” As soon as I got the package out I recognized the return address. My Secret Santa recipient gifted me back! And before he had even opened his! Here’s what was in the box:

One of my go-to light Balkans, and four blends that are new to me, including three that are hard to obtain (and that’s a VERY generous 3 oz “sample” of Heinrich’s Curly Block). And two unfinished small briar opera pipes (I'm kind of wondering if he remembered that I almost bought an Arley Curtz opera pipe from him a few months ago, but went with the Prince instead).

I’m bowled over! Thank you @peteguy! Totally unexpected, and greatly appreciated!

Opened my package last night and was pumped to see a tin of the C&D Small Batch Carolina Red Flake from 2018! I’d been wanting to get my hands on a tin of this so I’m really excited to see it in the box. It was paired with a tin of HH Bold Kentucky from 2015!

Whoever my secret Santa is was able to put a finger on my all over the place, rookie palate and send two tins that I’m beyond positive I’ll enjoy!

Also some pipe cleaners and a nice card!
