Thinking about everything Dan you have admit we did pioneer the greatest advertising campaign for the stuff ever dreamed up. It was so simple. War Horse Bar. Tastes horrible. You won't like it and it will f*ck you up but it does kill moths! Result 20,000+ tins fly off the shelves!
I should write a book about all the crazy stuff that took place with SToP. One memorable instance was when myself and Dan did a tasting of the War Horse Bar MK III in New Jersey. At that moment we actually had a whole leaf plug from STG so we handed out samples to our assembled tasting panel who dutifully smoked it and recorded their thoughts on a sheet of provided paper. Towards the end of the evening I struck up a conversation with a chap who looked liked he was from the 'Red and Green Show' a Canadian comedy. I asked him what he thought of the product. He smiled and said that it tasted great. After further inquiry I found out he had actually eaten his War Horse Bar!

What you didn't see were the rejected and extremely tasteless adverts for War Horse Bar like the one of Jacky Ruby shooting Lee Harvey Oswald with the caption 'That will teach him to steal my War Horse Bar'. There was also a suggested reworking of an original War Horse advert from the 1940's with the caption 'Go away you dirty old man! The only pipe I put in my mouth is one with War Horse Bar in it'. Not surprisingly these marketing ideas were vetoed but not before the famous Chicago Pipe Show car air freshener advertising card, but then Dan can tell you all about that one!
