I'm playing (when I have time) Modern Warfare 2. Next up is Black Ops.
Call of Duty games are the WORST multiplayer first person shooters of all time So unbalanced, so camper friendly, not teamwork based, etc. Campaigns are okay though. This humble opinion was developed over the course of many years, I've been playing shooters avidly since Wolfenstein 3D, and Doom.
Oh, I agree, I only play the campaigns. When I'm done there's usually a new one out. The last multiplayer game I played a lot was Wolfenstein and I was pretty good at it. Remember the Omaha beach map? It was really great.
I should find a server for old fogeys, it isn't fun having to listen to kids being stupid when playing. :D

The Return to Castle Wolfenstein multiplayer? Man, I loved that game. Setting someone alight with a flamethrower and watching them run in circles never ceased being funny. TF2 is as close as it gets to that kind of gameplay these days. That is, if they'd just get over their obsession with hats. Every time I log in it looks like "Blackwater Day" at the Kentucky Derby.
Mowens - I started in P3 beta too. But took a long hiatus afterward for reasons I don't recall.
Marm - The ZG mount?

Man I still play IL-2 From time to time these days. My poison was always the old Mig-3, a fast bugger that could hold its own even against the more modern Bf-109's.
Yeah Mafia II is pretty awesome too. Grabbed it on Steam back when it was on sale for ten bucks.

I'm still using liquid paper on my character sheet and trying to figure out what the hell Gary means...AD&D 1st Edition, tyvm... :nana:

Been part of a campaign group going on 6 years now.
When i have the time, which isn't lately, I'm a big fan of BioWare-- ME & ME2, DA:O & pre-ordered DA2 but haven't even played it yet.

I am way behind a lot of you. I am still on the original xbox. I have a case with about 100 games. I play one till I get bored and then on to the next new game. I had a room mate in college who was a Gamestop manager. I would get all the new games "damaged" and only have to pay like 2 bucks for a 40 dollar game. I still have a ton that are un opened.
I saw a earlier mention to Halo. Best FPS ever.
I am also still a big player of Neverwinter nights on PC and I never get tired of Wolfenstein 3-D or Doom 3.

I'm a bit late to the party here but I got Portal 2 about a week before release (mum worked at Blockbuster, they fired her like two weeks or something ago and she made out with all the new release and unreleased games she could find a copy of. . .called it her severance >.>) -- it was kind-of funny really, because about a day after she brought it home she saw a news article about Portal 2 already being pirated for the 360 and wondered how that was possible.. . . I told her in about 25 minutes I could have a pirated copy of the PS3 version out because she had brought one home. . . of course I didn't (bad enough to get something stolen, don't make it worse by 'spreading the wealth' eh?)
Anyways . . . . yeah, played it, beat it, liked it. Waited until the 20th to actually play it though (only seemed right yeh know?)
Oh, and if anyone is at all interested

I did an LP (if you have to ask, I doubt you're interested)

Runescape is what I do to relax now.
I have been on computer games since my Dad bought a Radio Shack computer before the PC came out. Anyone remember Roger Wilco?
Someone posted pictures of WW2 airplanes. I used to make them out of balsa wood and tissue paper.

Yoru - Played through it a couple times now. Definitely ranks in my top-10 list, if not top 5.
Then again, I'm kind of a Valve fanboy...so I'll admit to being a bit biased.

I highly suggest trying Battlefield Bad Company 2, it is the best FPS of all time, It may be the perfect class balance, realistic weapons, and 98% destructible environments, but it is seriously the best. It's also wicked cheap on Steam.

battefield 3

even before the first DOS based personal computers came out - i played an airplane dog fight game on a radio shack color computer - the graphic were just stick figures with only 2 colors - black and white but you played against another person using a phone modem and you would have to call them at their house and tell them to turn on their modem to connect - that was before the internet
