Ah man I am so excited for Diablo III. Duke Nukem Forever as well because The Duke was what really got me in to FPS.

Diablo 3 is going to be AMAZING! DNF will also be excellent, I preordered to get the poker chips and bust of Duke's ugly mug.

I'm a fan of single player RPG's myself.

I also love single player RPGs, I'm playing Dragon Age II right now!

I feel like Diablo, and Diablo II need a mention as well
YES! How could I forget - also Dungeon Seige (and II), the Gas Powered Clone.
Well on the topic, perhaps I should throw some strategy games on the table - Total War (any of them) or Civilizations anyone? Or perhaps RTS ala Warcraft (not WoW, the original) or Starcraft?

Starcraft 2 is a great RTS pick up Schmitz. The campaign was awesome. I recommend it.

I am a behind the times gamer. I am finishing Rainbow Vegas 2.

I just played Crysis (amazing game)

Recently finished:
Medal of Honor Airborne (excellent)

Bioshock (excellent) and have Bioshock 2 waiting in the wings.

Splinter Cell Double Agent (hands down the worst of an otherwise great series. The PC version is as buggy as hell)
I was surprised to find I didn't like Assassin's Creed after hearing such great things about.
Ghostbuster PC - couldn't get it to even load. What a POS.
Company of Heros is a fantastic RTS if you like WWII games.
Rest in Peace to the greatest game of all time: Starseige Tribes

I dont have time for the sit down kind of games. I play mostly RPG;s on the blackberry. I did have the PSP but it started to kind suck when they went straight download. Though I do enojy playing the fighting games on the WII when I get a chance. I am still longing for the TMNT Smash-Up game! lol

Hah I went through a period where pretty much all I was playing was old Lucasarts SCUMM games/point-and-click adventures. Full Throttle, The Dig, Monkey Island, Grim Fandango, Day of the Tentacle, Loom, Beneath a Steel Sky, Broken Sword (all of them)...all those greats. Now that I think about them I might have to play through a few of them again.
This should show that I'm also a big fan of single player games. RPGs and adventures and what not. In addition to all this I'm also a DnD dude. So I'm a fully fleshed out geek. Haha I'm also a reformed WoW player. I quit to focus on my guitar playing because I found that I didn't have time for much else when I was playing it.

Woo! Lots of us...
Portal 2 was awesome. Just finished the single-player campaign and it was every bit as good as the first one. Have yet to get into the co-op side yet Mowens, as I'm waiting on a couple of friends to pick it up.
I played D&D for years too. DM'd Planescape mostly. Also played in a lot of Magic: the Gathering tournaments.
Re: Everquest - Played the hell out of it as an Iksar monk, right up until the Plane of Power expansion. Things just seemed less grand after that...and the interest began to wane. But I agree, it does hold a special place in my heart for the hours spent grinding for epics/levels.
Re: WoW - Was Healing Lead for a pretty hardcore guild (7-11pm raiding, Mon through Thursday nights), back in the glory days of Black Temple, before Sunwell Plateau opened. Then I got a girlfriend, so I resigned my position and quit raiding. Progression subsequently stopped, and the guild fell apart. A couple friends from that guild still call her "Yoko." /shrug

I checked out Cataclysm when it released, but the love was gone. Haven't looked back.
My multiplayer FPS of choice would have to be Team Fortress 2. I do miss the days of Quake 2 though...I still occasionally boot up Q2DM1 and strafe jump around.
Ichbin, I loved those old LucasArts games too, particularly Grim Fandango. Although I have to say they haven't aged well. I d/led the Secret of Monkey Island pack from Steam recently and couldn't get through much of it. Too slow.

Oh snap, how did I forget about Magic: The Gathering?!?

Yes! The PoP expansion killed EQPC for myself as well - I went back when the "Progession Servers" went live, but never really got back into it seriously. I remember the "good old days" spending hours travelling on boats, trying to level my Trolls language skills. Vangard tried to recapture this, sadly, the game never really seemed to catch on - I think the rewards were too few and far between for the soundbyte WoW MMO'r of today (not knocking WoW players, but really, how many of you would camp a contested spawn for six weeks without break in an attempt to get your epic?).

EQII, on the other hand, I would probably still be playing for far too many hours a day if it wasn't for the birth of my son last year...kind of like EQ lite, or WoW with three times the content.
Waiting with baited breath for KOTOR: Online; although I will admit I am very curious about Rift as well. Still bummed that Rome Rising: Gods and Hero's was scrapped in favour of Star Trek Online.

I had thought about playing WoW, but heard that it pretty much takes over your life, lol.
Then again, I played Evony for some time on and off and I will say that if you want to be competitive, you really have to put a lot of time into it.

I am a reformed WOW guy myself. I have found I have some much more time on my hands now that I am not playing that game. As of late I dabble in DnD online. It is free and I don't mind not playing for a bit since I don't pay for it. All in all I have really no time to play anything but peekaboo with the baby.

I've always been a combat flight simmer. Jets, props, and helos. It is a niche market now, compared to the glory days of the 1990s, but what is available is outstanding visually and technically.

Ugh... I camped Raster down in Guk for 50 hours straight one weekend trying for a piece of my epic. Never popped. Took me almost 4 months to finish it. Then set off to get the Iksar off-hand one.
WoW is a MUCH simpler game, and thereby friendly to the casuals. But the end-game did once hold some serious challenges That is, until the Great 10-Man, "Everyone Should Get to See All the Content!" Nerf Bat struck.
Prior to Portal 2, I'd been playing League of Legends, which is free online game. Community there is awful, but the game is really quite good. It's basically DotA, for you Warcraft folk.

Man, I can't wait to play Portal 2. Loved the first one, and the second is calling. Just have to wait for my damn roommate to pay me.

As far as other games go, I was recently disappointed by Crysis 2 and Homefront, and got addicted to the first MMORPG I've played: EVE Online.

Of course, the second that Battlefield 3 comes out I won't touch EVE for two weeks, minimum, unless EA and DICE disappoint me. And if I were to be disappointed on BF3, which is looking to be the absolute best game of the year, I WILL DESTROY BOTH COMPANIES.

Well, back to EVE.

Ah yes I haven't dug out my copy of IL-2 in a good while. Haven't played wings of prey yet. Love the combat flight sim deal.

Haha reminds me of my glory flight. I was flying a FW-190 and encountered some bombers and me and the other fighters engaged. I went for the bombers and it's like their engines wanted my bullets because I managed to get five of them, but unfortunately the gunners in the fifth took out the control of my ailerons. Luckily I remembered my training (haha) and over turned using my rudder to correct my pitch and made my way back to base for an adequate landing under the circumstances. I may have busted the landing gear but at least I did it off of the strip! Ace in a single mission haha.

I used to play WoW as well. I started back in the original Beta (2004) and was a main healer in my guilds 40 man raids. We were almost done with the original Naxx (not the revamped 25/10 man ez mode version) before I quit. I didnt play during BC and came back during Wotlk and played up until Cata released. While Cata was a great xpac and provided better challenges than BC or Wotlk I just didn't have the time or the same passion for it. I've tried other MMO's such FFXI, Guild Wars, City of Heroes/Villians and Age of Conan but could never get in to them. Now I just stick to consoles and the occasional PC game.

I camped for 4 days straight, as in did not leave the computer, not even once, for a rare mount spawn. I am a reformed WoW player of almost 6 years.
