This is just stupid at times. Number 6 and 25 are the silliest things I've read.

Well, it's from the New York Times, so you know it's probably drivel. If I was like this my wife would leave me for being a "Modern Wuss." Seriously.

#25: The modern man is a easy target, and prefers to scream for help and hope someone comes, than learn responsibility and how to handle a firearm. Has no care or concern for his loved ones, just hopes nothing ever happens, just like the rest of the victims do.
Granted I paraphrased in order to get to what that joke of a man meant.

The damnedest thing just happened...I'm reading this list, and preparing to issue a complaint about the cost of movie popcorn (in relation to number three), when I hear a knock at the door--its a boy scout selling buttered popcorn for a fundraiser.
This modern man is now the proud owner of a box of popcorn! (Which I'll be sending off to my dad--since I don't actually like popcorn...)

Not really. Now some plain buttered sweetcorn is sure to pique my interest--and as I live in Iowa, this commodity is not difficult to come by. Popcorn strikes me as a viable packing material.

I think this list is an extension in "nannyism". Now I would never scold my unborn child or any child for dropping food, that's bad parenting. I would scold if the child threw the food at a sibling. A spanking would be in order of the child threw food at a parent or elder figure.
And how about teaching your wife how to use a firearm if said intruder over powered you? What happens to her if you get stabbed or shot? This man lives in a different reality than most people.
