Yup, I love those post cards. They came as part of a little goodie package that accompanied a recent Penzance transaction with Paul of Larrysson Pipes.
Great guy that was lookin to trade the Penzance. We worked out a very fair and equitable deal. As an added bonus Paul included a very generous sample of Hearth and Home Black, as well as a really neat little Churchwarden, my first.
Top notch guy and a pleasure to do business with.
If anyone here gets a chance, go to the larryssonpipes.com website and check out his gallery of work and the pictures of his work shop.
I'm hopin to be able to put together a trip back to Scotland here in the next year of so. My ancestral family home is in southern Scotland, Whithorn, by Wigtown. (my last name is Whitehorn). The main reason for the visit will be to hit the links @ St Andrews, but I'm hopin to also see Bladnoch Scotch Distillery as well.
Now I just need to figure out how to include a visit to Cornwall as well. :)

Some of his pipes are too amazing for words.

Everything shipshape and in order. Very nice, and greatly admired by those of us without the tidy gene. My little coven looks like the inside of a disordered mind.

That's a really great, cozy looking man cave! So much better than the 'before' pics! I like to re-purpose things too (read: cheap) & found an old CD/VHS cabinet last year at Habitat for Humanity. The thing cost me $10, was heavy as an ox, but now holds all my cans of tobacco. It's nowhere near as grand as your set-up--but I feel we thrifty folk think alike. :)
A nice feature a lot of those old Entertainment cabinets/centers have is that they have pull-out shelves. Makes finding that rogue can of tobacco a lot easier.

Very nice indeed! I think you have progressed beyond "man cave" and are entering smoking parlour, drawing room, study territory.

Thanks a lot fellas.
After spending a couple of evenings up in the new digs & lookin @ the pics I've posted here, I realized that I really didn't have much in the way of art on the walls.
I had a couple of watercolor paintings from my Mom and Sister, a couple of small golf pieces and a map of Murica.
So I thought I'd hit some estate sales and see if I could fix this.
I hit the jackpot @ my first top.
I picked up seven pieces plus a mirror for $35. $40 if you include the small surround sound system I picked up as well.
Here's the tow pieces from my mom and sis...

And the other pieces I picked up today...

Looks awesome and thank you for the info on the exhaust fan. I need to do something similar for my room.

Thanks Hobie.
I spent a few hours over the last couple of days and downloaded all of my photos and put em in imgur. Now I just need to organize em.
I'll see if I can get some of them reposted.
