With the fake ST DuPont lighters going “ping” now too (it didn’t take the Chinese too long to figure that out), is the only way for an amateur collector to tell the difference is to digitally weigh it? Real<50 g?

I don’t know if my $40 counterfeit DuPont is a 1 or a2, but it’s purty! It’s supposed to go ping, too.

Don’t have a scale to weigh it with, but the weight difference between a real and fake Ligne 2 is quite noticeable.

130 - 134 grams on the few Dupont knock-offs I weighed

JT Dunant versions weigh in around 143 grams
