Art glass tampers? A solid chunk of glass would be fairly resilient, yes?

yeah, glass is a lot stronger than people realize. And Pyrex (what I use primarily) is extremely heat shock resistant. They make a whole lot of glass pipes for the devils lettuce. They handle the heat well.

I went back to the basics and bought this one from Rattray's ,these are heavier weight than those made in China ones
