I'm looking for something with a kick that's really sweet yet not piled on with topping.

Some full flavored with a nutty sweetness. I don't want to hunt for the sweet. Wanting a higher Nic hit than some of the English blends I've had also.

I live in the country and don't have much for options local however, I don't want to go on a blind buying spree as I've done before and not get what I'm looking for in a natural nutty sweetness.

Thanks

Va/burs sound up your alley. I’d do some MacBaren HH Burley Flake or some Solani 660 Silver Flake. Natural sweetness from the VA, nuttiness from the burley, and a decent nic hit.

Those are both non-aros, its unclear from your post if you want none, or just a light topping.

If you are ok with light topping, the Gawith ropes might work also. Very light topping but super rich and VERY strong nic hit. I’d go with brown (happy) bogie for no topping, or the sweet rum or sweet maple twist for a lightly topped super strong va/bur.

PS the ropes can also be chewed and are great that way. When smoked they need some drying time after rubbing out.

Hello,
I don't know how much you know about tobacco's, but if you are searching for nutty, try something burley based, and since you are looking for 'really sweet' but not topping maybe something with a natural cavendish.
You can do an advanced search on tobaccoreviews.com with those parameters and find some options....

I don't mind a light topping as I enjoy the Spilman Mixture. If sipped on you get the sweet and when lighting the Forrest you get a nice briney meaty flavor. Reminds me of a good scotch sweet/briney ocean air salt. I really like it for an all day and have about 23-24 oz left ? but having an urge for some truly full flavor/ strength goodness with a whiskey from time to time.

I've had all the Aro I can take at the moment. Kinda got burnt on the cheap local Cav styles you see in the small tobacco shops. Been there done that.

Ready for a step up in true strength bold flavor.

Btw 4noggins Painter Hills Revelation Match is really nice just not enough hit or sweetness. I think it was 10 oz of it I bought the other day. Wanted to try something with Perique. Not bad at all just not sweet or strong enough.

Will look into the suggestions.
Very much appreciated

I'll go with Motzek Strang for being both sweet and with a nic hit. However you will have to put in some work to obtain.

You could also explore the HU line as you just might find what you want in that awesome lineup. Like Director's Cut.

I think Mac Baren Scottish Mixture is a great natural flavored tobacco with a fantastic sweetness. I know it has to have some type of sugar added but all I really get from it is a nice natural flavor...kinda like a nice piece of leather baked into some fresh bread :)

I've got something nutty and sweet for you..... oh. Wrong website!

As others have said, MacBaren HH Burley Flake or Navy flake come to mind for me. I'm not a huge burley fan so I've only tried a few, but I've also heard that Solani Aged Burley Flake is a regular go to for many in need of a burley fix.
