MB Mixture: Scottish Blend is said to be sweetly topped, but I don’t get that. So it must be pretty lightly topped. It’s my desert island blend.

Bald Headed Teacher by 4noggins seems to have some sweetness added. I bought extra of this blend, too.

Seconded. I really enjoy it when I want something on the sweeter side, but with a bit more strength than the average VaPer or Aro.
Thirdedededed. Haddos Delight is a unique blend, in that while considered a Va/Per as a base, it has a concoction of smaller players that add to the savory flavors. Green River cavendish, white burley and an exclusive process to marry the flavors, whatever it may be. It's not a beginner blend but it's not too harsh. It ages very well, but needs alot of breathing time no matter what year is on the tin. I didn't smoke it again for almost a year after opening a 3 year tin. After the year was up, it was perfect.

I've got something nutty and sweet for you..... oh. Wrong website!

As others have said, MacBaren HH Burley Flake or Navy flake come to mind for me. I'm not a huge burley fan so I've only tried a few, but I've also heard that Solani Aged Burley Flake is a regular go to for many in need of a burley fix.
Is it peanut butter and honey?? ? oh wait, that might be for the other website you speak of ?

It's only ankle deep if you stand on your head around here ?

+1 on VaBurs. Possibly VaPers with just enough perique to cut tongue bite. Perique is peppery, Burley is (I guess) nutty. Virginias are sweet (again, I guess), but bitey.

GLP Barbary Coast. Primarily burley, with some sweet Virginia, perique, and light brandy topping. It has plenty of strength, and the sweetness of the brandy and Virginia is evident throughout the bowl

Went to tobacco review found the search parameters. That was easy enough!!! Thanks!!

Love the reviews that say EAT SOMETHING first.. Some of them ropes ain't no joke ?

The ropes depend on your nic sensitivity. If you ever smoked cigs you'll find the in the same vein and they probably won't affect you that much.

What others have said about drying time is true. I had some 12 yr old Happy Bogie last night which I cut up roughly at 5 and then left the bag open for 6 hours and it was still the wettest smoke i be ever had. It was still a delicious smoke but annoyingly wet. When you get your rope, cut it up into half inch slices and run it through a coffee grinder until they are the appropriate size. Then when you know are going to smoke it set some out for a while or microwave it for 5 to 10 seconds.

(Handy tip from the short bus squad: never get distracted and accidentally take the top of the grinder until the blades have stopped because it will shoot tobacco all over your wife's newly rehabed kitchen making her mad at you and cause her to go on Match.com looking for your replacement.)
