I love family circus. Why because it is really fun to alter it and make it horrible. You know just a little horror added and hilarity ensues. I got three books I've corrected of Family Circus. The number of times they've murdered each other alone is hilarious.

There are websites doing the same thing with Marmaduke. Very funny in a twisted way.

I love reading the color funnies and then using them to wrap birthday gifts or other non-christmas gifts, including weddings. I like a lot of them but really miss Calvin and Hobbes.

Sorry if this has been said...my ADD kicked in.

Used to do the same thing. Wrapping presents in Sunday funnies made for a more dynamic presentation. Really made gifts pop.

As a kid my favorite was Peanuts. As I got older I liked The Far Side, Snuffy Smith, Andy Capp, Hagar the Horrible, Calvin and Hobbes, and Beetle Bailey.
If I had to pick a favorite, it’d probably be The Far Side, with Calvin and Hobbes a close second.

I like comics that make me laugh but not laugh at others. Does anyone remember Bloom Country? I don't know what they were talking about.

Journey West (西遊記). Popular Chinese classic that makes rather comic.. comic strip. Ran in Korean newspaper number of times by number of different artists.

A while ago there was a website called Dysfunctional Family Circus that did the same thing. The cool part is why it went away. The person running the site said they got contacted by Bill Keene and that he was just really nice about explaining why he didn't like having the website online and that made it impossible for him to keep the site up. I might not be explaining that well at the moment.

Favs were Garfield, Peanuts, Heathcliff, and Nancy (& Sluggo). Growing up, I always read Garfield and Peanuts in my grandparents Sunday paper, and carried around collection books of all of the above in a backpack whenever I went on long trips or sleepovers.

From high school through grad school (so, the 80s and 90s) I was a Sunday comics addict. For my money, nothing even comes close to touching Calvin and Hobbes -- not even classic Peanuts, not even Doonesbury at its height. I was a complete nerd, so of course I loved The Far Side, but I'd give it up in a heartbeat for C & H. For me, Sunday comics died when Watterson retired.
