With summer temperatures finally here in LA, I once again become an Orlik Golden Sliced fiend.

Virginias and summer go perfectly together. HH Virginia is another favorite of mine.

What are some of your favorite summer blends?

I mostly smoke the same all the year round, although McConnell Oriental or Presbyterian (both at least 5 years old so the Latakia has been rendered a faint memory) make more frequent appearances.

I keep all genres in rotation but I tend to favor Virginia based blends and lighter Englishes in warmer weather. Also seem to crave blends with cigar leaf or heavier perique in the summer.

I smoke more virginia blends in the summer. Germains medium Flake is one I only smoke in the summer months why not sure. When its really hot I smoke cuban cigars and drink rum.

Like others, I smoke what I want regardless of the season. I never did understand "Seasonal Smoking". A Latakia blend tastes the same to me in the warm weather as it does in cold weather. Same with Virginias.

It's not really a conscious decision, more so that I notice my cravings change. The tobacco tastes the same, but the experience is better for some reason. It's just more satisfying.
