Suggestions for Orientals - non Latakia

A word of caution, peeps: Orcilla has Latakia in it. Whoever recommended that blend either didn't pay much attention to the original post, or their taste buds are defective.

Thanks. It’s not that I dislike Latakia or react unfavorably, I just have more than I’ll rver need.

Old old Orient Express, Odessa, Tuggle Hall, 965, GLP BS, and a couple F&P. Irwin & Greg sure liked their Lats.

O me miserum!, my gustatory apparatus is deemed "defective". Orcilla Mixture is still a great oriental blend, and, to me, the teensy amount of Lat is almost undetectable.

Try picking up some 1oz bags of straight orientals and then blend up a bowl's worth with some straight Virginia or with Virginia/Perique blends. This way you can find the component orientals that you like and look for blends with the orientals you like!
