And, we have dined together at the Wooden Match in the past! (great food & experience).Au Contraire, Mon Ami. You are welcome to dinner at our abode anytime.
Every time your name comes up in a conversation, I opine that you are on a mission to meet every pipe smoker in the US. Where are you now? 3/4 of the way there? And, we have dined together at the Wooden Match in the past! (great food & experience).
East coast only. My work travel was pretty fortunate! I thought at the time, the travel was a slog. I was on vacation, and just didn't know it! Travel to the NYC pipe show was about 13 hours on the road, totally worth it.Every time your name comes up in a conversation, I opine that you are on a mission to meet every pipe smoker in the US. It is a shame. It was always my favorite event. One regret - never making the Christmas event at Kaywoodie.
Other than that, how was the play, Mrs. Lincoln?Subway lost me when their spokesman plead guilty to sex acts with minors and possession of child pornography, when their "tuna" fish was found to contain no tuna DNA, and their chicken was found to contain only 50-percent chicken.
No mystery meat for me, thank-you = there are too many other, better choices out there.
Interesting. What about the chicken? Maybe it was part tuna...after all, it is called chicken of the sea.I don’t care for Subway’s mediocre offerings but in the interest of accuracy...
It turned out that the type of DNA test used by the plaintiff’s lawyers doesn’t yield valid results on cooked foods.
Yes, there is tuna in Subway tuna. Once that was shown they took heat on the web for “unsustainable harvesting of tuna”. Can’t win.
The woman tried to withdraw her suit last April citing health reasons, but the chain wants to proceed so that they can prove their case in a court of law.
It smells to me like someone was fishing for an out of court settlement, thinking the chain would try to settle quietly rather than get dragged through the court of public opinion.
I don’t want to support entitledfast food workers who think they’re supposed to live comfortably off of fast food wages. I see them as fools for actually thinking that sort of job is anything other than a stepping stone. I mean shit, if you’re supposed to be able to live off that I may as well quit my job and save myself a ton of hassle and just go back to working at BK like when I was 15. Plus the buying power of the fast food industry has negatively influenced farmers by commoditizing their products and setting prices low. Same with beef. Plus it’s not even fast anymore nor is it cheap. In short, there is no place for it outside of convenience which is arguable. I see the fast food market in general taking a hit, and I hope it continues. It represents everything that’s wrong with our food system IMOAnd it's only getting worse!
There's a Firehouse Subs about 30 minutes from us. On your recommendation... I'll check it out.Wow 3 pages and not a mention of Firehouse Subs. They are out of Florida and are expanding. By far one of the best "chain" subs I have had.
