Just so I'm clear.. If someone buys say 200g (7.05oz/0.43pound) and someone else buys 1000g (35.27oz/2.2pound) we would both pay the same shipping?

He seems to charge a flat fee for shipping, but this order will be different I'm sure. My guess would be that it'd be divided up fractionally based on quantity, but not for certain. The shipping is shockingly little. The 100g x25 I ordered was the same 4.95€ it would've been had I ordered 100g

How is this handled? Does sir motzek ship out individually? Or must the group organizer receive the bulk and then ship out individual packages? Because some of us happen to live far away currently, and therefore I imagine my shipping costs would increase proportionally.

Nate, not sure how you got 4.95 shipping, but my shipping costs for 600 grams was 29.00.
Not that it really matters in the grand scheme of things. I was surprised with how cheap his shipping was, I expected it to be much higher.

After reading your post, I went back and looked. You're correct. I was going by his site and not the invoice sorry. Mine was 45. Ooops

It doesn't calculate actual shipping till you're invoiced.

Still though, 45 ish to ship all that tobacco from Germany to the US isn't that bad in my opinion. I've got a list of European shops I'm ordering from given the current exchange rates... Now only if the pound would drop

Yeah you're right! It really isn't that bad all things considered. If my math is right, and it rarely is, shipping accounts for around 8.5% of total cost. We are most definatly benefitting from the low Euro! If the pound would dive there are a few items I'd like to buy... A new Aston Martin perhaps?

We need someone to honcho this group buy. Who is it, otherwise none of this matters. Ideally it would be someone who has successfully ordered from him. I will add extra $$$ so the Honcho get "free" Strang as was suggested above. We have to make it worthwhile for the Honcho. It is clear some have never participated in a group buy. The Honcho get the lot and then splits it up accordingly ans ships it out, you we all pay shipping twice.

As for the order, I originally wanted 200 g of rope (or cut if thats only available). Now, I'll double that, pay for 400 g and give Nate 200 g for his troubles.

While you might be the one getting fingers pointed at you here I can tell you there is a German fellow on another board who has pushed this stuff for 2 1/2 years now and I've smoked 700 grams of it in that time 300 came as a gift from him, I was generous in exploding his mailbox in kind.
