I’m shocked No one has mentioned Watch City Cigar. They offer straight Virginia blends in their Simply Red and Simply Orange blends. Their VAPers are outstanding.
Try 558 Flake and Old Dominion because they’re some of the most robustly flavored VAPers I’ve ever had.

Ken Byron Ventures makes some incredible VA blends as well. I recently fell head over heels for KBV Redline and Brown Flek. Van Gogh and Roman Legion are also excellent. Jupiter Slices and Byronic Hiro are incredible straight Virginia plugs.

Try Ashton’s Gold Rush, it’s sweet and bready and full of flavor.

Of course McClellands Virginias are probably the most sought after so find some of those if you want to try the “Crown Jewels” of Virginia pipe tobacco.

HU makes the incredible Janneman Flake and Old Fredder’s Broken Flake which are both VAPers. They have Haymaker which is a straight VA flake loaded with flavor.

I hope this partial list helps. Best of luck.

As i often state, I am a burley devotee, so take that into account, but two Virginias I have enjoyed very much lately are Esoterica Tilbury, which actually has burley as a condiment, and SG&Co. Squadron Leader special edition with Perique. I've enjoyed many other Virginias and Va/Pers, and find that they provide a good change-up from my burley centered blends.

Dreams of Kadath sounds pretty good. Not a huge fan of Royal Yacht but I will likely give it a try at some point.
For what it's worth, I recently opened a 2 year old tin of Dreams of Kadath. The casing is very forward in the flavor. It's not a bad flavor, but it is present throughout the smoke. I've never had Royal Yacht, so can't compare the two.

In terms of straight, flavorful Virginia, I couldn't recommend anything more highly than Cobblestone Virginia Plug. From texture to flavor, it's damn near perfect.

But if you'd like to take the word "stout" literally, Dan Tobacco's Black Velvet. This one is a phenomenal VA flavored with Guinnessand champagne, but you have to smoke it in a well-made pipe to get the full flavor profile.
