This is a hypothetical question only. With all the talk of increased taxation on tobacco products, and seeing how Canada and Europe (and quite frankly, some US States) have incredibly high taxes on tobacco, I think about buying large quantities of tobacco now and storing them for the long term; i.e. to be consumed over the course of twenty years or so.
I see that many online retailers sell 5lb bags of loose tobacco, like Stokkebye, for instance. Let's say I buy 20 bags of these. How would be the best way to store this large amount of tobacco? Can you just keep them in the unopened bags and open as needed, or would you have to buy 200 or 400 or 800 mason jars and transfer it all into these for proper storage?
Hypothetical only, but I read on this forums that some guys actually come close to cellaring this much tobacco!
Thanks for your insights.
