I’m relatively new to custom type blends or “high end” tobaccos. I have absolutely fallen in love with Stokkebye 402 Luxury Twist Flake. It is without a doubt my favorite to date, there’s really no close second.
I’d love to know if an of you guys have found something similar or comparable? LTF isn’t hard to get but I’d like to find more tobacco with similar tastes and traits. I’m sure there’s something out there that will give LTF a run for it’s money in my book.
Thanks

Not that they are 'similar' as far as the topping, but all 3 of the Stokkebye Luxury flakes are personal favorites - if you haven't tried them, definitely worth it. If you can find it, I really like 4th Generation Evening Flake, too. ...also, if I recall correctly, I have heard that Peter Stokkebye cube cut has a similar topping. I'd be into that, if this is the case.

Where to go from here probably depends on where you've been. The joy is in the journey :) Cheers!

There is a review on tobaccoreviews.com (dated 2010-05-27) that gave this impression ...I wasn't sure myself, though.
I hadn't noticed one, and Jim's review never mentioned one I believe. There's a bit of a molasses thing going on but I think that's just the burley.

You may also like Newminster No.400 flake and Drexel VIII flake, both are good flakes at an even better price.
I have tried Newminster 400 and currently have some. I like it, but for me personally it doesn’t do it for me like LTF.
I dont like coconut, but there’s something about this blend that I love, and I think it’s the coconut. Weird right? lol

I would say stop now. Be happy that you love LTF so much, and be that contented soul who smokes his one and only blend, all the time and loves it.
I am happy and content with it. I bought quite a bit. But, I still enjoy trying other blends. LTF is definitely my everyday, all day blend at the moment. I’ll likely transition to something else as fall arrives and it starts to get chilly.

I'm actually being half serious. I don't really envy the guy who has 100lbs of unicorns and racks of artisan pipes. I envy the guy who's happy with his plastic tub of whatever and his grabow. I wish I could find that one pipe and that one blend.

I've mostly cut back to only two blends with occasional smokes of others.

This is definitely off topic but, a rather heavy friend sat on one of my pipes that was sitting on the seat of the truck and broke the stem. It’s a Callebresi Bent Dublin with an acrylic stem. I’ve never had to go down this road before. I really enjoy this particular pipe. Any recommendations on how to remedy this issue. It snapped the tenon which is now stuck in the shank. Ughhhhhh
