The in-house code is such a pain in the ass. I was so pissed on my last order trying to reconcile their nonsense (and very similar) codes to the order sheet. One more reason I dislike P&C.

I look at the stash of the Mac Baren HH blends that I've recently acquired, at some expense. I have enough to smoke like a Jarl for a little while. If I choose to lager the batch for years, which is likely, then I get to smoke like a Jarl a while longer. I really like the HH blends, but after they're all gone STG can take a cold shite and die. No way I'm going to chase my tail trying to keep stocking up based on their on-going shenanigans. I might buy a few tins of Night Cap, and then done.

Thank the good Lord for Pegasus. I feel the same. I’m not going to chase any STG blends. C&D will get the majority of my business going forward.

1) My instincts tell me this is going to be good for C&D, as in more sales for them. I think C&D sales have been increasing the last few years and this might continue. Hopefully.
2) Maybe they broaden their flavorings to make up for the loss of weird shite like Warhorse. Maybe they start playing with Rustica. Maybe they play with birch/wintergreen flavors to create a blend to sell to the 8 people that smoke Mixture 79. Love me some Mixture 79.

Well hell. Looks like I will be stocking up on DNR. At least it appears we have a warning period. The good thing about DNR is I get an hour smoke from one coin so a tin lasts a good while. About 23 smokes per tin and I dont smoke it every day.

It just occured to me why STG initials sounded familiar.
STG in prision is stands for "Security Threat Goups" and boy do they live up to the name! They are a threat and they threaten our security!

I have no idea but I wonder if they just want to kill pipe tobacco. If you think about it (aside from dwindling pipe smokers) Pipe smoking is still uber cheap. Maybe the hope is everyone will smoke cigars...even cheap cigars are expensive.

Mar Baren will be around for a year or more while being transitioned to the Assens plant. Sutliff is being shut down, possibly by the end of March, if what was reported is accurate.
Buy what you like while you can. Then, explore your horizons with other companies, like K, GH & Co, Germain's, C&D, etc. Make that lemonade.

Yeah I'd expect the cigar lines of business are far more lucrative than anything pipe tobacco related.
Pipe tobacco is definitely the poor relation of the tobacco world. First comes cigarettes then cigars then a distant 3rd are pipe tobaccos. At least we can lord it over broke ass snuff
