Mac Baren has never produced Dunhill/Peterson. STG has produced this, even before it was called Peterson.
OK, I’ve heard this a few times online, I mean it is the same part of world, easy mistake…. So then STG will just be pairing down on some of their Danish properties then? Consolidating warehouses… Hopefully it works out. Truthfully except for Amphora a bit, I don’t smoke a ton of Mac B.

Did you jar or Mylar? I have a couple of pounds of St Bruno pouches from Estervals and would love them to last... I'm fortunate enough to have had some Ogden's Bruno and I'm devastated I didn't get more of it.
I just ordered them. The metal tins from 2016 were all corroded around the seal. The ones I got from Esterval’s were plastic and were solid. Still, the contents of both had lost the topping, to a lesser degree with the ones from Esterval’s.

This is a shame considering the enormous amount of blends across so much of the pipe tobacco spectrum that will be affected. Just concerning Sutliff alone, all the tobacco they provide to places like WCC, and others. Then there are the one off limited blends they have produced over the years such as Cringle Flake, Birds Of A Feather, and Pipe Force that showed the creative side of the industry. One thing STG certainly lacks is imagination and the willingness to show a creative side like this. They are a huge conglomerate who only cares about profit, not catering to the market with innovation or customization. This is the real tragedy in my mind and makes this move potentially a hundreds times bigger than the loss of McClelland. The writing was on the wall when Per Jensen was unceremoniously let go from Mac Baren. You don't just up and fire the one person who made your company a phenomenon in the industry with his talents and creativity like that under normal circumstances.

Hey Embers, have you smoked Mixture 79 after years in the tub? I’m curious if it still tastes good after 5-10 years.

I am also wondering if Sutliff blends will be produced at the factory they are moving MacBaren to.
I can tell you, I have a tub of Mixture-79 that is 7 years old. It it half full, I had a bowl tonight and it was fantastic! I actually bought a pound of the bulk today just to stuff in the tub for a rainy day.
