Status of 1792

Somehow GH decided to monkey arounds with Ennerdale's recipe, and now its flavorings are not what they used to be, despite the popularity of the former recipe. My question is if anyone knows the status of 1792. Has it been changed?

Every once in awhile I load up a bowl of the new stuff (since my old stuff is gone), hoping that this time will be different -- that by some magic it will be like it used to be -- but it never is...

Which is way too dramatic. Forgive me. I'm extremely thankful to have had it, and extremely thankful for the outstanding tobacco still available to us, and most of all thankful that the best is yet to come and it's better than any tobacco!

I haven't tried any new stuff as i've got a fair bit in the cellar. I will hold off buying any at the minute, as I keep hearing it isn't as good. Next year I'll probably have to buy some, tho.

My question is: why would they change it? I can't for the life of me think of a reason why they'd do that. If the flavourings cost more then they'd just add it to the price of a tin.

IIRC, you took up pipe smoking back in 2019. That's around the time some of us started questioning changes in GH blends.
