Oh wow, so are they vintage or still making in Denmark. I love stanwells, I bought so many I need to shed a few. None Danish made though, I may need to grab one...

Oh that thank you woodsroad, can you post a pic of the new vintage 62's nomenclature. The pipe posted made in Denmark is not a Borup. Also there's no mention of them anywhere accept here and P&C so if like to see before I grab one please if you would.

Rumor is they found a box in the old Stanwell shop, but seeing as these are one of a kind, I think they are prototypes or ones put back for some reason or another. The HCA above is free of fills and the only sand pit I see is right on the rim of the bowl, very high quality stems as well. Most smooth pipes listed have exceptional grain, the blasted pipes are all different from normal production models as far as staining, etc.

Did you see the model 1020, it looks like an active volcano... I don't recall seeing a production made in Denmark pipe like that before.

Well I have two in my cart but I'd like to c a pic b4 I check out. They had the amber line ooriginally listed as made in Denmark and there not.

I don't mean to be a pita, I'm part Danish and want a Danish stanwell and am off estates for now. It would be my first Danish Pipe. Actually I had a nice one years ago that went mia.. too bad I missed that elephant foot. That's quite a specimen..

Sir,

I will not mislead you they are beautiful made in Denmark, one of a kind. If you don't like them, I will buy them off you full price. Some are 9mm filters and others are 7mm or no filter, read closely.

I’m not following you there, eggroll. Which pipe, and how do you know?
I’ll post a pic of my 62’s nomenclature tomorrow, but I believe thst they are sold out at P&C.

I just compared the HCA to a first run production model, and it is not even close. The 63 dollar pipe had grain that is close to Flawless grade, the other pipe is nice, but the grain is not even in the same ballpark.

"1025 looks like a POTY"

As far as I can tell 2007

But... the other 2007 POY were a more subdued brown stain, I may be wrong because I do not have one of the 2007 production.

Ok thank you. In the time I spent hemming and hawing the apple military mount I had in my cart sold. So I grabbed a pot military mount and red bulldog, both 9mm filter. I'm excited. Oh and btw, woodsroad, I think I misunderstood, for a change. I thought the tawny was not a borup and that you posted it. My eye exam is next Saturday.. haha

I'm always preaching to new pipe smokers how they can great buys on pipes if they have patience, watch sales, and shop a lot more than they buy. This illustrates my point well.
