Well I didn't mind the wait for the box and you have my sympathies. That's one heck of a plate you've got there.

Phil, I wish you the best in dealing with the horrible situation you find yourself in. I recently lost my best friend to pancreatic cancer and understand how traumatic and devastating that kind of loss is. The last thing you are thinking about is some box pass on a pipe BB. Hopefully your mom can fight this off and can resume a peaceful life. Your friends here can be a great source of comfort in these trying times so you may want to lean on them to get through this. You have my condolences for your good friend.

Hey Phil. We all have lives outside this forum. Sorry to hear about your Mom and Friend. I hope your Mom gets better. Like you say, people do need to be a bit more understanding. Hang in there Friend.

You guys all rock. Seriously, I was ready to walk the fuck away from this site due to the drama I was getting from a few people. But you fine fellas have mellowed me out, convinced me to stay and brought a smile to my face. Thanks guys...I needed it.
Cheers.
P.

Hang in there buddy! :)

In your honor we'll keep open the July 2012 slot for "I'm so pissed I'm leaving and never coming back". Use it anytime you need to vent. :)
Seriously, our thoughts and best wishes are with you -- you're like family.

Or if you wanna heat up from those cold Canadian winters, swing on by;-) we're empty nesters and have a hot tub.... Although the latter thing is not seeing much use now with 100+ degree weather

You can't get pissed and leave the forum now without submitting a detailed request in hand-written triplicate to Kevin. He also has the right to reject your request on several grounds, including poor penmanship. He prefers calligraphy.

+ 5 on people need to be more understanding. We all fall into that category at times and fall short. I wish you the best sir.

A very good point made by Mick. Ohin, I don't know you from a hole in the ground, but you've been here a hell of a lot longer than I, and have always seemed pretty steady. I'm sorry for your troubles, and hope you have better days ahead.
To Mick's point - we'd all do well to remember that maybe the guy on the other end of the monitor may have a bit more going on than worrying about a friggin box of tobacco.

I do get to Ohio at least once a year for a couple weeks over christmas. Maybe we should plan an Ohio holiday pipe smoking excursion for all of us Ohioans and near neighbors.

I'm glad you have decided to stay Phil.

I know I'd miss seeing your pics and reading those great posts.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss.

My neighbors are dealing with something different but just as difficult.

His son was murdered two years ago, and last Friday his daughter in-law was killed in a head on.

A teen age girl dropped her cell phone and leaned over to pick it up and crossed the line.

The really sad part is my neighbors two grand children the oldest is 4.

Both were in the car but only suffered bruises from the seat belts.

The EMS guys said they only reason they survived is because of their child safety seats.

Mr. Y. said the car looked like a crumpled up Wrigley's wrapper.

He's retired and the Mrs. is supposed to retire in a few months.

Now they are going to be parents all over again.
