If thicker skin was had, this wouldn't have been posted.
It did make for an entertaining read though.

Steve, if peck ever posted less than a 4 paragraph diatribe the world would end. His penchant for verbosity is legendary, and honestly I would miss it if he stopped. There is nothing quite like an attorney who takes the English language and makes a simple statement into a novella. These guys are to be marveled.

I don't know what is wrong with stating an informed opinion.
What does this mean? Who informed you? And why is your Informed better than the responders Informed? In my informed opinion, Hobbits Weed is the best tobacco Ive ever smoked and can't get enough of it. So there... :nana:

Hobbit's Weed is overrated.
Seems to me that when leveling criticism, there are certain words that can be polarizing. If one admits a caveat and says "this is just my opinion" it will usually be received better than just stating an opinion.
And I personally think (just my opinion) that the word "overrated" can (though not always) be polarizing to some (but not all).

Novella? Dadgum Harris, I'm a Texan and am still trying to learn English. Please quit using words I need to grab a dictionary to decipher. And yes, I admit I am a bit thin skinned when people use big words I can't understand. :x

This pretty much sums up most of the internet:

Also, some people take comments better than others, and can see that it is an opinion. While others thinks you're stating fact.

Pipestud, I understand that novella is a word commonly used in the gay community to mean "book" (not that there is nothing wrong with that)

So, can we all at least agree that Harris is overrated?
Umm.....at what number of posts must one be on the forum before one may weigh in on this question?
I may not be there yet. Though I hope that someday the name Tarak strikes the same fear as names like Roth, Peck, Pipestud, and Harris.
All I need to do is post 11,000 times, beef up my vocab, get all Texan, and.....well I'm still trying to figure what y'all pigeon hole Harris into.
Well will you look at that, I said "y'all". I'm on my way!

I believe "plethora" is another one... commonly used in the gay community

All kidding aside, this is exactly how I wish every thread I've had to delete or censor had gone. Adults hashing a subject out as adults. My name is lordnoble and I approve of this thread. Carry on.

Starting to Get Obsessed

Could have been worse, he could have said “I’m offended at that”. The comment “I’m offended at that” is truly irritating. The so called people who uses that moronic statement seems to expect that, because they are offended at your comment they therefore expects you to change your comment or to somehow give them compensation. Like they want you to go completely out of your way to belittle yourself below them. When someone say’s “I’m offended at that” I like to respond “Why should I F**king care? Go sod off you great primitive, stupid, lazy, protoplasmic supine invertebrate jelly”.

“Why should I F**king care?
Here's why I think you should:
Because how crappy would the world be if we all truly didn't care. I think true manhood is found when we are selfless enough to actually "F**king care", as it was so eloquently put. I don't consider myself so important as to be above others' cares, concerns, and - yes - feelings.
