Decided I needed another workhorse meer in additiona to my CAO. After some searching I settled on a Strambach with a whimsical stripe angled across the stem.

I looked at a really nice Andreas Bauer meer but I could buy 2 Strambachs for less than the price of it.

Next is a slight departure from my dragon meers but still a serpent. Found this cobra by carver Kenan. Rather excited as this is my first Kenan pipe.

Should be a monster of a pipe!

Finally a very unique pipe called Naiad by site member Sergey Rusak ( @piperusak ). This is my third pipe by him and I just couldn't pass it up. I love the tamper and stand for it too.

Almost a bit of a fish shape to it.

Yes.

You will absolutely love that pipe. Mine has performed excellently in the 5ish years I've had it. The fit and finish on it is fantastic as well.
does it seem to color evenly? That's the main complaint I've heard about them.

It will be interesting to see how the Strambach colors vs my CAO. I wouldn't expect either to color like a figural meer would but they're both nice smooth finishes on even shapes.

I haven't seen any color start to come through on my CAO yet which just means I'll have to smoke it some more. Every time I think it has started to get a spot of color it disappears after I clean the pipe. The chamber is nice an black and the rim is getting a nice glazed amber color though.

You gotta smoke some killer shit in it. Ever notice weez and condorlover color their meers by smoking dried engine grime? ?

Mine has, at least to my eye. I know that natural meers have the colour come up from the stem to the top of the bowl, but with mine it is more even. It is a nice almond colour now.
That’s cool. I almost bought one 2 years ago then went into the rabbit hole of info and never pulled the trigger. I’d almost think it would smoke preferably to a natural Meer as they can control its formation. Maybe they don’t smell like a swamp? ?

Is Strambach Block or engineered? Right now they are looking rather “reasonably” priced.☕
