We got a letter from the landlord about a month ago that he was going to be very generous and pay to have all the apartments in our building sprayed to keep them bug free. He told us that the Orkin guy was going to start coming by on the first Tuesday of every month, and that in the event that we are not home, he is going to give the Orkin guy a key to each apartment so that he can come in and do what he needs to do. Now in the event that we are not home, I am kind of worried about the Orkin guy spraying his pesticides where I keep my pipes and tobaccos. Now I know that they obviously treat tobacco plants with pesticides before they process and tin it, but should I be worried about my pipes or the tobaccos that I have in the apartment? Should I maybe move them out to my car or take them to another location while the Orkin guy does his thing? I would imagine that my sealed tins would probably be OK, but I don't know about my pipes or the tobaccos that I have in jars. Anyone else had something similar to this happen? Any input is greatly appreciated.
