Take it easy shoveling snow if your not used to it lol

This is crazy. It's 64F here in coastal NC, but in the western part of the state it's 28F. There are two cold fronts between the coast and the western part of the state.
In my day we shoveled snow 26 hours a day and were grateful for it! (Insert old man with cane emoji. I can't find one...I must be old.)
Seriously. People around here always say they'd never live in CA cause they have earthquakes and how can people live somewhere like that. When the fact is way more people die or go to the emergency room with serious issues because of the winter. Slip and falls and the big one people not pacing themselves with snow shoveling. Either injuries or cardiovascular issues. Know your limits.
Minus 2 here this morning. Six inches of snow. Fortunately I saved my winter gear when we moved here from Maine. Bean boots, ski gloves, long Johns, etc
Ice and snow are the seasonal norm here.
I can only imagine how cold it would be if we weren’t having global warming.
We got about 10 inches or so but I still had to be at work this morning so I just drove thru it. Cows went to market back in the fall so I have no animals outside to shovel for. Driving is alittle slower but not bad just have to watch out for the idiots who think a 4WD means they can do anything in the snow
Some snow storms what we first responders called "Widow Makers," It appears Texas and other environs will have a run on caskets or snowblowers, I doubt many kids hire out these days. Me? I use a Deere to move snow.
We got about 10 -11 inches here in my part of south central Indiana and I've been on the tractor and 4-wheeler (with snowblade) all morning, moving snow and getting dug out. I finally got er done at about 10;30 am.

I hate snow and freezing temps, during my lifetime I have had both enough, actually, we've got temps plummeting to as low as 0,4f and plenty of snow , past winter went all snow-free'
My pipesmoking view...well, when weather permits. Who says it doesn't snow in California?
Me? I use my children. I have five. I go in and start pointing “...you, you, you and you! Thank you for ‘volunteering’ for snow removal duty. Out you go! Make your dad proud!”
That's what my father woulda done, 'cept he only had one child.
