Ashdigger, have some property north of there I've never seen. I get lowball offers on it all the time, but at 16$ taxes a year, I pass on them.

Elko where Der Bingle was mayor. Gotta love it.

99% of my smoking is done from my la-z-boy as well. My wife likes it, if I try a new blend and it smells too bad, she says so and out it goes. She has vetoed maybe 5 blends in 19 years.

Wish I could get the wife to like it. Over the years I keep remembering one of my Grandpas. I would go visit and his home always had a sweet tobacco smell. It's incense to me.

As most of you here know by now, I've got a pretty sweet deal with my mancave. The high velocity ventilation system does a good job of keeping the smoke out of the rest of the house.
The Blonde doesn't usually complain about the smell of smoke from my pipes or cigars. But every once in a while, usually after a poker game that everyone is smoking cigars, I'll hear about it the next morning. So then it's time to get out the fabreze and spray it liberally in the man cave and on the various air filters throughout the house.
With all of that said, I do keep my smoking limited to my office/mancave or the deck. Don't smoke in the rest of the house.

I smoke in the workshop. If it's nice outside and the wind is calm, I'll smoke outside, but that's maybe a handful of times per year. I feel fortunate to have a dry place to smoke.

Only smoke outdoors either in the back yard or under the front porch. Come hot or cold, wind or rain.

Cosmicbobo, there's a wildland fire up here (that's why I'm here) it is 7,500 acres. You might be having a fire sale on your property.

With two kids in a NYC apt., I'm smoking outside.

Fortunately, I live opposite a delightful park that borders the Hudson and the Harlem River, so the only thing that really takes the edge off is strong wind or rain, and even then there's shelter if necessary.
At this point I find the weather adds another element to the subtle interplay of forces that is pipe smoking. I was very pleased to notice last night that the leaden humidity provided perfect conditions for lingering smoke rings.

The people smoking inside versus outside is about 30% now on this thread. If I can find someone that will rent me one of the garages here at the condos , then I can smoke inside there.

I am primarily an inside smoker. I enjoy an occasional bowl under the shade tree in the front yard. I live in the country so smoking outdoors is not problem.

Deniz:so much like here,80% inside and %30 in my car, moreover, did I see single old film when one goes smoking outdoors? And then My late Daddy and My Mom, they always smoked indoors when the undersigned and my kid brother were underage, do you happen to know where 90% of Russian do smoke when they at home, they did and do prefer smoking in the kitchen, whereas me it is mostly the livingroom chair.

I am also an indoor smoker ... mostly. I take my pipe in the great outdoors, but I suppose that nothing beats the ritual of smoking indoor in my small den.

If got my shop off the garage.
It may stink up garage a bit.
But never makes it into the house. Invest in a good charcoal filter. It helps. But something about sawdust and tobacco smell that gets me rearing to go.

my 2 car garage is large enough for 2 vehicles (04 passat sedan & 66 mustang coupe) and a full workshop. i halved the workshop and put in the larger piece of an old sectional couch (with pullout sleeper no less), coffee table, patio chairs, a 32in CRT television stand and outdoor carpeting.
it's actually quite ridiculous how much space i have. in addition to the above i have built-in floor-to-ceiling shelves in the wall that can hold plywood sheets flat. all this in a 2300 sq ft townhome. i'm not home to take pictures right now, but here's the floorplan online:

Welcome Stan, I'm Stan also. You did well to figure out how to post that floor plan on here because most have a hard time at first, posting photos on here. Maybe next post you will find your shift key too. :nana:
