Smoking a pipe in the rain

Hi guys, can I know if it's okay to smoke my savinelli pipe in the rain ? Like not heavy rain but like when it is drizzling?

I do. But that doesn’t make it ok. I turn the pipe upside down if needed to prevent rain going into the chamber. I also wipe the pipe off to remove any water spots on the stem/stummel afterwards

You can get a wind cap for you pipe
You can also smoke your pipe upside down

I smoke in the rain, but I use cobs and hardwoods so messing up the pipe isn’t a concern. That said, it has never hurt any of my pipes. Oftentimes the smoke tastes especially good when it’s raining

I just don't smoke in the rain. Not for any concern for the pipe, but a simple desire to work on getting out of the rain as soon as possible.

If your pipe is in the rain, it means you are as well. Whats the old saying about not being smart enough to come in from the rain? Use an umbrella and a wind cap, problem solved. Or stay inside when it's raining. It's not rocket surgery.

When ever I'm smoking my pipe I usually have one hand free so just shield the pipe with the free hand. Silmle is as simple does, so that's why this works for me...

worst that could happen is a flash flood and you drop the pipe and then get stranded on a roof without anything to smoke. Or in other words either not a problem or you got much bigger problems.
