Getcha some beard oil or balm...I don't know if it will totally offset pipe smoke, but it might steer things in the right direction. If the Mrs. hates smoke, you might just have to be strategic...could be worse!

Every time you are done smoking your pipe, go do something that she finds irresistibly kissable.
When she comes home and the bathroom tiles are all regrouted, or the hardwood floors are freshly waxed, or the dishes are done and dinner is in the oven...a little bit of aromatic in the beard won't seem so bad.

My wife only complains, when I smoke dark fired flake. Says my goatee smells like smoked meat, and then went on to say that it's not a compliment lol.
