I was almost wondering if it has been tampered with at the factory...I’d like to know as well.
I picked some up at a small grocery store and there is no telling how many years it’ had been sitting on the shelf but as much as I wanted to like it because it packed like a dream it tasted awful.
I chalked it up to too long of a shelf life. I want to try it again but I have read they might be having control issues?
Do ya think??I was almost wondering if it has been tampered with at the factory...
The aromatic tastes and smokes like a dream..It really breaks my heart to hear so many folks here having bad experiences with SWR since they moved production from Georgia.
I wonder how Granger and SWRA are holding up.
What’s the manufacture facility on the packaging? That would be more telling.I was almost wondering if it has been tampered with at the factory...
Good luck I let it air out for over a week the harsh vinegar flavor is still there. I ended up mixing it with a pouch of super value vanilla I had lurking around. It made it tolerable. I wont be buying more SWR...SWR was one of the first pipe Tobacco's I tried. The smoke shop had a batch of pouches made in 2021 I tried last spring. Today I picked up a pouch from the same batch and a pouch of Drum. The SWR while dried some has a harsh vinegar to the taste, and it gets more intense halfway thru the bowl and torwards the end. Not sure what is going on. Been reading a lot of complaints about it online. I will try to air it out even more but I doubt it'll go away.
I may double check my other empties to see if it's the exact same date code but I'm pretty sure it is because vause no one buys it.
Pretty sure food lion has the older usa tubs, I really should get one, I know they have the old captain black 14oz tubs, they just update prices but keep old stock which is sorta wrong imo. I'll have to check again and see

The pouch I just bought recently. dont know about date code. SWRA still smokes good and tastes good..I looked at my date Codes on my old pouches and indeed they are the same. I could have sworn the 2 I had didn't have the vinegar thing. Its either happening over time or only in certain bags, I'm not really sure.
I'm not sure if swra was affected but now I don't wanna take a chance.
