What's your favorite silver polishing product?
Will it damage the briar finish if some touches it?
Need I mask the wood before polishing?
Thanks.

It's what I use to get a mirror shine on ebonite.Tooth paste is a vastly under used polishing compound. It's a great, small grit, polishing compound that we hardly ever think about.

Flitz is an amazing product. Like magic.I use Flitz paste polish. A tube lasts a long, long time and is very useful for a lot of things around the house. For light tarnish I'll use an impregnated polishing cloth. I also have the majority of my can of Nevr-Dull I was issued at MCRD San Diego in 1994. I prefer the Flitz but the Nevr-Dull works in a pinch and the smell brings back lovely memories.
Flitz and Brasso are also products that the standard size toothpaste tube or little can should last for generations.Flitz is an amazing product. Like magic.
I love Barkeepers Friend, but I wouldn't use it on silver. Grit is not fine enough. The idea is to remove tarnish or grime, not metal. That's why I use simichrome.Flitz and Brasso are also products that the standard size toothpaste tube or little can should last for generations.
There’s some acid or chemical in all those jewelry cleaners that’s just pure magic.
Another good polishing agent is Barkeeper’s Friend.

I own a Ruger Redhawk made about forty years ago, that my gunsmith claims a guy must have spent maybe forty hours polishing the thing using Semichrome.I love Barkeepers Friend, but I wouldn't use it on silver. Speaking of Magic Erasers, those are just blocks of Melamine, normally used as an industrial insulator.I use those white Mr Clean thingy's. It works really well.
