So let me preface this by a small anecdote;
I'm still new to the world of pipe smoking. I've only been smoking for about 2 or 3 years. In that time I've amassed quite a bit of tobacco. The frog series by McClelland, a healthy dose of Capstan Blue (Which I absolutely love), Lane 1Q, Some Penzance, various samples of things such as Squadron leader, St james flake, 40th anniversary and fusiliers ration (thanks
@SBC for being so generous) with quite a few more.. Some simpler and some more complex.
Well recently a friend was headed to the States from Canada and I ordered some tobacco to the address he was staying at and within that order was a 14 oz tub of Carter Hall. I just cracked that tub tonight because I couldn't really decide what I wanted to smoke and I was completely caught by surprise. ITS SO GREAT! It could just be the moment or the exact craving for something without too much identity but I've been completely caught by surprise. It's not as simple as I thought it would be but it's definitely not that complex.. it sits somewhere in the middle of it all and it's almost like eating a small bag of chips or something like that. It's a comforting and very satisfying smoke. Anyway my wife didn't care that much about my experience so I thought I'd throw it up on here for you guys to read.
Cheers !
