Just realized my apartment is super clean right now. It's funny I could ignore this or that but being here most of the day has made me get a little OCD about cleaning. Anyone else do little things you didn't think would happen during this isolation trip. Also another side note.... I think most people don't spend enough time with their own mind and thoughts.

I'm glad to have my wife at hand, but I spent six years on my own as a widower, and another four when my wife and I weren't in the same state (lots of Jet Blue time). You get to know yourself (good and bad) when you are thrown back on your own company. Both can be good, but for me, being part of a couple is better. As with being alone, being isolated as a couple is a learning curve. Some folks are born to live life solo, and I thought that was true of me in my twenties. But this is a unique situation, because the socializing that you can have, single or as a couple, is greatly reduced, even just going to stores or out for a beer. Not the same. However, I do wish the tidy syndrome would set in with me. I do chores and errands all day, but putting things in order seems to evade me.

Or you could end up spending too much time isolated:

Not sure about you fellows but I'm enjoying my mandatory 'staycation'. For once- I actually have time to watch Netflix, smoke, drink and post. ?

Anything that’s involuntary quickly loses its savor. I look forward to a return to normalcy, which I personally have no doubt will come. Cocooning should be optional.

I won't argue that it isn't an infringement of our rights and I acknowledge that these mandated quarantines are ethically questionable. That said- tricking myself into thinking of it as a staycation is quelling my anxiety. My worries will do nothing to fix the world ?‍♀️ might as well enjoy a bowl while I wait.

What’s more ethically questionable is those who don’t know whether they are infected or not going out right next to people in public, crowding into stores, drinking on the beaches of Florida in droves, or keeping businesses open that are non-essential.

Is it more ethical to let a leper into the city square or more ethical to isolate them?

You can't isolate him unless you're certain he's a leper.

And those who don't know they have it and don't feel sick can't be blamed for going outside to do whatever they need to do. When you live alone or with an elderly parent who can't go outside, who's gonna buy the groceries?

I’m not saying not to go out but at least around here no one is obeying the stay 6ft apart rule.... etc. Touching all over shit and not worried about sanitation.
