I love shrimp. Enjoy the heck out of them.

I always thought shrimp and prawns were the same. I recently found out that they're not. You learn something new everyday.

He's tricked you with the ole bait and switch. Those aren't shrimp... they're too big. They're smaller sized lobsters puffy

Very nice! Real fresh seafood is great. There are a lot of places around here that claim "fresh seafood," but it's the northern prairies, there's no sea here. The shrimp man drives a freezer van and gets his freshest shrimp from the airport.

$3.50 a pound right out of the water. I'd be dreaming. We get some good seafood from the N.C. coast, but by the time it gets inland, it is pricey. Of course, if you have a shrimp man you've known for years, the prices might be better. My wife is always reminding me not to cook shrimp covered or it makes them rubbery. She serves them fried, cold, boiled, and grilled.

Man those look good! I bet 90 percent of this country wouldn't know what they were with the heads on.

I saw this and my first thought was: He's gotta live in Louisiana. Checked your profile and I was right! I grew up in the PacNW, but my mom's from New Orleans and my dad's from MS. My uncle has a camp in the Atchafalaya Basin and I have fond memories of spending time there, fishing for catfish from the pier, and getting to join the cajuns across the bayou on runs to check crab and shrimp traps. Bayou country is special country for sure.

I’ve been on a big boat...

Years ago I worked in a shipyard and they got a contract to build an oceangoing dredge. The guy that was sent up by the company that awarded the contract to oversee the project was from Louisiana, and every Friday he would go to the airport to get shrimp that were sent up from a friend of his down there. He’d sell off a bunch to cover his cost. That was the last time I saw shrimp like that...
