Why feel bad?
Foggy loved his Dunhills and he loved McClelland Bombay Court. Fortunately for him, I didn't, so I sent him my tins of the stuff.
He was a solid poster and member of this forum.
I don't know, it just felt wrong to ask about a man's pipes immediately after finding out he passed away...

Here's my entire collection of Dunhills as of today....
New Shell ES 4109 (2023). After bad experiences with my last 2 recently made Dunhills I swore I wont get another, but this one is exactly my type of pipe. White spot has a crack (too difficult for me to film but visible to the eye) going through the center but I don't care. Can't wait to smoke this one till it fills with cake and riddle the stem with chatter.

Sounds like they've got quality control problems nowadays.
Personally I'd call it an outbreak at this point. If this one doesn't smoke good by its 20th bowl I'm done with new production Dunhills altogether.
Wow, that looks pretty rough, particularly at those price points. What vendor sent that one out?
Bollitopipe from Turin, IT. I can't agree more with your statement. Am not impressed with QC vs $. This pipe was purely a shape/size/weight interest. Will become an estate if it smokes like crap.
Bollitopipe by my experience is a very good vendor. Did you try to return/exchange it? I would guess they would be very receptive.
Nope, and I already put a bowl through it. Smoked ok for a first bowl. Nothing crazy. I'm going to chalk this off as a reminder in regards to new Dunnies.
Great vendors for sure though.
