Finally after a long search, I managed to find a beautifully taken care of 1971 Dunhill Root Zulu.

Oh that is a beauty, PipeMarc.

I gather, from your comments, it is a recent acquisition. Is that correct?

Did you have to snatch a pebble from the palm of a Sholin priest or maybe run an Indian gauntlet?? Or perhaps string the bow of Odysseus???

Haha yes recent acquisition. As to the gauntlet that had to be completed to acquire this pipe, it was more in line with an out of shape Pheidippides taking two years to make it to Athens 😂

I decided to add a few shell briar 252 billiards to my rotation from Steve at Rebornpipes — they are fantastic and light on the jaw👍

But here i will show off two pipes: 1961 59 Tanshell and a 1969 253 F/T Root Briar that, interestingly, has the EX mark of an exchanged pipe from the same year of its manufacture. s-l160012.jpegs-l1600.jpegs-l16002.jpegs-l16006.jpegs-l160011.jpegdun45.jpeg

I thought very hard about buying that Tanshell from Reborn.. I got another Dunhill instead, which I shall post here when it arrives. It was a real coincidence that you bought it right after I decided not to get it. It’s beautiful. Now I really want a Tanshell too.
