What exactly is the allure of a leather zippo case? I see a lot of them, but don't understand it.

What exactly is the allure of a leather zippo case? I see a lot of them, but don't understand it.

It was honestly just something I did on a whim out of some scrap leather I had left over from accents on a knife sheath I had done. Mine is not so much a sheath as a cover, meaning I can still use the Zippo with it on. Mostly I like it because it holds a horseshoe nail that I use as a tamper.

Maybe it helps stop them from leaking while in a pocket. That thigh burn is such a PITA. I have brass one with the pipe insert, rarely use it.

Never had it happen. It was probably overfilled.

I don't collect zippos with the fervor I once had. Still keep about 9 or 10 and most are either some shade of green or copper.
Just so happen to have one of my favorites on me. Quite a unique one from 2012 featuring my favorite bug.

I just bought my first zippo pipe lighter a month ago. Really like it for outdoors. Looks like there are many styles to choose from. I’ll have to shop around for a themed one!
