Chacom Companion 297 Canadian that I restored recently.
Just delivered, an indulgence in my Prince prefs. This has a stinger, which will make cleaning a bit painful so I may remove it. A petit pipe for sure, chambered to trad prince group 2/3 size.
Picked this up many years ago. As attractive now as it was then. A Vuillard.
My newest pipe, bought last week, is a Ropp and it was made in France.

I much prefer the classic shapes but I have to admit, that’s one fine looking pipe ya got there. Not my style but still very appealing. I love the shot of the inside of the bowl because it’s unusual, in my tiny time in the hobby, to see such pronounced grain INSIDE the bowl.

Very fitting! I've tried neither although Semois is something I'd really love to sample!
I'm thinking the Zulu will be for burley. Other than that, I'm unsure. How do you tend to assign "genres" to your pipes (assuming that's something you do)?
Generally I do not have pipes assigned to genres but I do like smoking flakes in the pipes with either shallow chamber or narrow chamber, folding & stuffing in a slightly rubbed out form
. I begin with Virginia. If it clicks, it becomes a StVa or VaPer pipe — the hardest blends for me to match. Next comes VaOr, then everything else. In the end, the pipe decides for me.

Right? When I opened the package I skipped through a bunch of expensive pipes and that was the one that got my heart skip a beat and it's actually an amazing smoker

I’m up to my ears learning about them and having fun familiarizing myself with the community!
