This is a BC I got on eBay for cheap with no stem. I Needed to fit the stem, clean and top it (thanks to George’s advice and videos). It’s not pro level but I think it’s an elegant pipe.

Did you re-stem it yourself?
Nice looking Birdseye

Excellent jobNormally I don't bother with "before" and "after" pix as I'm not a restorer, just a guy cleaning up old pipes. But in this one serendipitous case I have them:

You have the knack
Nice, I just got one off eBay that looks just like this one too. It’s a Gold grain 126, but it has a hole in the stemPicked this up on eBay. It was in really good shape when I received it. Reamed and cleaned internals. Repaired the stem. Had very minor tooth chatter. Button was squeezed or depressed. Straighten that up. The bowl rim had ash tray dents, steamed them out and repaired char rim. This was a quick fun one to do.

That looks like a plug, shape, bore, waterglass fix. Here’s my latest before, hoping there’ll be an after. Had quite the burn out. My dad says it looks like art and hang it in a shadow box. Lol, newly discovered Picasso pipe.
Water glass? That looks like a plug, shape, bore, waterglass fix.
Used to seal the chamber. Some carvers use it as a bowl coating but it works great for chamber cracks and repairs.Water glass?
