I don’t think the last thread on this was active so this can be deleted if I’m wrong. The reason I was attracted to this C-B the shaping of the shank to stem. That really caught me in a way that other C-Bs hadn’t. It’s elegant.

BTW: Clayton’s does a good job. Even others who are well-known eBay sellers/restorers can be a little sloppy with stem renewal. Clayton’s is thorough and they come up with interesting stuff too.

I'd say so. If I can make this one shine with my usual lackadaisical effort, it must be fine indeed. One of my better resurrections, and my only CB to date:

That’s a Rich era one? It’s a beaut. I love the smooth panel and it’s great shape overall (Liverpool?) with a comfortable looking saddle.

Saw this on eBay listed under unknown maker as the stamping is rubbed down but I could tell it was a Courtley Supreme. I've been scooping these up for very reasonable prices versus how much the real deal cost

It smokes really well. I should smoke it more than I do.

I saw a YouTuber who loves BP Jums and these and has quite a few. I am on the hunt for them. Love it!

This is a Custombilt I picked up, with no dash in the stamp but the Mincer era script. The book by Unger says Rich or Frank era, but the collector site Pipes Revival says it's a Mincer era. I am thinking Mincer as well, it is apparently a rare stamp and it does have a geometric symbol on the other side of the shank. But I cannot tell for certain.

Yeah, unfortunately the old thread is inactive. Great article above. Have never see that before. A lot of great ones in this thread including Milk’s initial post. Great lines. Here’s a 8 1/4” c-b I’m enjoying today. Do they come any bigger?? Have had it for many years. Never seen another this big, but I’m sure they’re out there.

I have a full hunting motif (bow and arrow) one that I’ll try and post at some point.
