I feel your pain reverendtom...I paid $46 for a 50g tin of Three Nuns at my Windsor B&M yesterday. :crying:

It seems as though many people enjoy the silver tinned Wessex. Its really cool to see how many folks are stashing the same things. Now there's a recommendation!!

So it seems that all the Wessex is of the Campaign variety in these cellars. Are the other Wessex blends just as good?

edwinbaz, love the cardboard rack, very Bohemian.

hiplainsdrifter, I was going for a rustic, kindergarden-arts-and-crafts kind'a feel. Hahaha.
Well I guess this has become a cellar and Boston thread.

lucky695, their look kinda goes well with the hobby.

Hey Zito, I purposely neglected to enter my costs into tobaccocellar.com because I was afraid to know lol but now I'm going to go back and enter the prices. It would be good to know.

@edwinbaz - Don't feel bad man. I've been smoking a pipe for a while now and my cellar consists of one tin of Capstan Blue, one tin of Dunhill Flake, two small jars of Old Dark Fired, and the last few flakes left over from a pound of Luxury Navy Flake. Oh, and roughly 8 oz. of 965, which I don't really smoke.

@zito, yes I'm going to start looking into online options, and will have to watch the exchange rate/duties. I really like the guys at my local store, but prices in Canada are ridiculous and will only continue to get worse.

Nice cellars fellers. I'm contacting the mods to have my pics removed. The mere 20lbs or so in my cabinet pales in comparison to these mighty stashes.

No retracting pics!!...lol....come on you have a great start. I have only 3 tins in my collection and they really are for smoking right now and not saving them...the next order gets saved!!

seadogontheland, I also stock Wessex Gold Virginia Flake, Brown Virginia Flake and Gold Brick. Not in the same quantities of Brigade Campaign, but still in decent quantities.
jkrug, still haven't smoked it, although I do have 4 others containers of the same size jammed under my bed.

I can relate to a lot of these pics. My cellar (or stash), is in a bunch of drawers so I don't know how interesting pics would be. One thing came to mind, though. It looks like in the unfortunate chance of some sort of disaster, I'd die of thirst or starvation LONG before I'd run out of pipe tobacco, and am guessing that I wouldn't be the only one in the same predicament.

zitotczito, you have expressed my sentiments on cellaring at age 67 exactly. I am at a point where if I live to smoke it all, that will be great. If my demise precedes the end of my baccy stash, what is left will be of no concern to me. I have spent more on vacations and memories long gone.
While hording is not particularly something I practice in general, like a hobbit with his larder, I rest better thinking I can finish my days smoking at my leisure without worrying about the availability, let alone costs of leaf for my pipe.
Who would have predicted 40 years ago this country would reach its current nanny state mentality about my smoking habits? Concerning the national mania on WHAT IS GOOD FOR ME, I would rather ere on the side of caution.
To each his own. :puffy:

Oh please. The government is all too happy to completely ignore you. The implication of your comment "current nanny state" suggests this is a temporary condition and a new regime may change the trajectory of these policies. These policies are driven by industry not ideology. If you want them to change you need to change the way industry is able to effect policy.
Totally not picking on you Okie. Your post well encapsulates a pervasive attitude and I was just piggybacking off it.

Top shelf is all cellar (i.e., unopened). There are 2 rows.
Middle shelf are all open (I know, I should be jarring those rather than keeping them in the tins. Work in progress).
I have a list of them all in my app, but right now there's no way to export it :P
