I've been looking into the smoke eater candles as well. I have a terrible sense of smell and always have. I cant even smell candles or when I reek like smoke.

Do the smoke eater candles really do anything for the smell?
What about a standard candle? Scented or not. Would they do anything for the smoke smell?

I ordered the draft blockers for my bedroom door, and a small air purifier to test out. Just trying to see what else I can do here.

I burn a large plain wax candles while I'm smoking indoors. A naked flame does help to stop the smell of smoke lingering. Don't think they need to be any special sort of canfle.

I sometimes use Isopropyl scent burners too. There's an anti-tobacco one I sometimes buy. It's very effective but I tend to use after smoking, not during, as it's strong and competes with the scent of the fresh smoke. A burst afterwards before going to bed for example kills off any fug. But it burns through the stuff and refills are quite expensive.

Wish I had a picture of the summer hangout, our 18’ square covered patio. Unfortunately Ive migrated to winter mode in the insulated 30x40 pole barn. Dont get me wrong, very fortunate to have a space, but it doesnt exactly inspire much. I dream of sectioning off a potion to make a “proper smoking room” a-la lots of dark oak with an old potbelly keeping me warm. In the meantime sprayed in insulation and a 3500 watt electric heater do just fine. Not sure that day will ever come, the shops already dedicated to wood shop & hot work / auto shop.IMG_7718.jpegIMG_7719.jpeg

Do you have a favorite place in your house to sit? Or do you just constantly walk around smoking?
Good question, but really nowhere in particular.
When you need to set yourself up in a “spot”, you get a really good focus on the purpose of that spot.
My stuff is all over hell, my wife collects the stray pipes, ashtrays, etc. and leaves them on my desk.

If I lived on my own, sure, I'd smoke in whatever room I wanted. The other people in my household don't want to breathe my smoke, and I respect their right to have a say in the matter since they live here, too.
Agreed! Respect other's feelings. No need to subject my kids, and wife to my smoke. Especially since my wife is sensitive to it.
