Please do!It looks like I’m going to have to post my secret stash of B42s. Lol.
that is amazing for an Aran! Here's a Republic era Peterson’s Aran 338. Check out the cross-grain . . . the best I've seen on a Peterson.
It’s a lovely pipe, shape numbers change throughout the years, and often change depending on who’s retailing it or where it’s being sold? Roger’s Imports had it’s own shape numbers for all the Pete’s they sold in the U.S. for a brief period in the late 30’s and early 40’s. The numbers did not correspond to any Peterson numbering conventions whatsoever. Here is an odd Supreme. I'd not seen this shape before. It is stamped with a 15 which, traditionally belongs to a straight billiard. And, that number is at the end of the underside of the shank, not on the right side near the bowl. Has a system stummel but no condenser. Hallmarked to 1971 on the 9ct. gold band. Your thoughts?
That Eire smooth is awesome!A quartet of straight systems covering Patent, Erie, Freestate, and Republic eras.

That is bone, it turns jet black after having been smoked for years. That’s exactly what the straight system condensers do, they burn close to the draft hole. It’s just part and parcel of the straight system pipe. Also the straight system stingers are often not threaded but rather glued in.That Eire smooth is awesome!
I’ve got an Eire 31, but its threaded condenser seems to be vulcanite and has suffered heat damage from being directly below the draft hole.
I can see why bone (or such) may have been a better material.

Great blast. Here’s a B42. Been a crazy busy week so I’ll have to take time to get photos of my other B42s.

If the Jekyl and Hyde finish is "gimmicky" so be it, I think it's really cool! One of sexiest Peterson finishes in my opinion!

Since I already have a squire and a Hudson, didn't occur to me but, now that you mention it, haven't seen either on SP for a while. Mine came from there.Question for the Pete guys in here - why do they seem to never make SH Squires? Do they just stick to a particular SH shape for a while and then move on to the next one?
I only started watching a couple months ago, but they also seem hard to come by in general online.Since I already have a squire and a Hudson, didn't occur to me but, now that you mention it, haven't seen either on SP for a while. Mine came from there.
Kinda going through a dry streak. Used to be tons on smoking pipes maybe 6 months ago. Very popular shape the ones they do get usually sell the same day or next.I only started watching a couple months ago, but they also seem hard to come by in general online.
I just felt second hand excitement and lack of patienceRecent estate market purchase.

With aftermarket wind cap attachment. I'll give it a go soon enough.
