Well shit!
I had this in my cart and paused just a moment, JUST A MOMENT.
To see what else to add from my wish list...
And it was gone.
I hope you choke on it.

Not me but I think I had it in my cart well ahead of you but decided not to pull the trigger. I regret it now but only because it means if I bought it I could've sold it to you.

Yeah I'm so livid with myself at the moment I don't remember exactly, but under $200.
It just seemed to call to me and I should have just zapped it with free shipping and browsed after.
I didn't even know how bad I needed it, until it's gone.
Not meant to be?
Maybe
IDK
Yeah man, I know that feeling (and I think we all do)! Also though I willingly passed it up I have that sick feeling now too. And the funny thing is a have this feeling whether it's a $200 pipe or a $20. You love what you love I guess.

Given my known love of 9's, I was not the one who got it. Had I seen it, I probably would have bought it, but sadly I didn't even see it.

Yeah next time I see something like that I’m just going to snap it and return it if no one wants it. I haven’t done that since I got an XL02 Rua Spigot and then forgot to return it when no one wanted it 😅

I'm pleased to report that I found myself a consolation prize. Not a PSB, but a beautiful pipe that's been very lightly smoked so I'll have no reservation about doing so myself. It hangs / clenches real nice, UmHmm.

Some were begun early in the process so didn't have the "J" stamp (proper year), but this one does. Yes, although much of it is the angle of the pic, the stamping is very slightly worn.

Vegas Baby!!!
Here’s a pipe I’ve been hunting for a while. It’s a 306 Pre-Republic System 0 that’s made in England (Rugby Style).

I’ve posted several Made in England (Rugby Style) pipes in the past and I’ve had several people try to poorly explain they are actually Republic pipes.

Well, that’s a different Made in England (Block Format)

The 306 in this style, not the ugly flat-footed style, was dropped from the catalog after 1937. The Republic Era starts in 1949.

I stole this first screenshot from Peterson Pipe Notes. The rest are my photos.

Finally got my hands on a POTY 2021 thanks to simong here on the forums. It has been my white whale for quite a while. It is my favourite Peterson shape and being a big Sherlock Holmes enthusiast added to why I wanted one even more.

I wasn’t fond of this shape at all when it came out but it’s growing on me. Congrats!
