$269.61 with my FL taxes. I think it was 250 with my 5% discount.
I must've logged in at the right time. The banner ad wasn't up on SPC yet and the pipes had just populated. I saw 3 silver caps, 1 Terracotta, and 3 Ruas.
I just picked the middle one, put it in the cart I had preloaded with a couple other items and paid for it lickety split quick!
In less than a minute I had secured my purchase. I went back to look and all the high end pipes were gone.

It sure went crazy...i put several pipes in my cart just to realize that they been already sold...from 6 pages of pipes it went to 3 pages in about 30 min...during first hour they sold over 250pc POY 2022
I was refreshing the page from 5:45 till the moment they dropped at 6 and there were 5 or 6 RUAs when i picked mine out, went and checked out and came back to browse more and the RUAs, Naturals, and teracottas were gone. 5 minutes later and the rest of the smooths were gone.

No, it's a Newgrange, the 2019 PSOI have a white stem though I'd love to have one!
Well, you're right about the white stem but I didn't know the Newgrange line had a tankard.
It's a 701 where the PSOI is a D19 which is a bigger pipe than the 701. I think the 701 was added to the Newgrange line in the last year or two but don't quote me on it.
I don't know yet... I'm still a Silver fella.
I forewent (well, it should be a word, lol) the latest POTY in favor of a couple 68 shapes. Here is the Aran I am enjoying as I type! Cleaned out the coating (took maybe 4 minutes and in no hurry). The revealed briar in the chamber looks great and no fills or defects. The drilling is a hair off to one side, but 8 minutes into the maiden voyage and only one light, it works great!!! I do like the tan in the rustication better than the reddish hues on some others (but still like both a lot). Reasonable price and works, so win! And I love this shape!

I usually don't smoke aromatics but took a chance since I smoke Presbyterian regularly. I was surprisingly pleased and have been enjoying it immensely.
Just the one bowl so far and I was reading stuff on here and typing a bit at the time - was home for lunch but had declared myself done for the day so was sitting on the deck for awhile before moving on to other things. My takeaway was that it in comparison to the aromatics I've been having more of the last few months it was "unaromatic-y" in a way and the tobacco was coming through fine and although I don't have an @JimInks palate, I was getting the burley, which I like, and just a bowl that was a perfect complement for relaxing because it seemed like a natural for enjoying a pipe. It will be interesting to have some and try and think about it a little bit, which I really didn't, but at least I know I'll be happy to have more.
Now it's likely be that the exquisite, naked and virgin Peterson briar inside the bowl was the reason for the good experience - probably shouldn't discount that.
I’m surprised how little time cleaning out the bowl coating took you! It looks great. I’ve never tried that before. Did you use a similar approach to the one from Peterson Pipe Note’s entry on it?

Usually hot water and little wads of paper towel. Scrunch up into a little ball, get hot water on it (not soaking or dripping), twist in the bowl a couple of times and repeat. I’ve used sandpaper sparingly for stain if there is a little at the top of the bowl, and if there is a bit of stubborn coating, but the paper towels usually do the trick.
