Is it the COM or numbering that lets you know it was meant for the Canadian market?
The one in the numbering.

My XL 02 walnut spigot's bowl is smaller than my Lestrade but holds more tobacco. The Lestrade is a bit shallower. Also tends to clog too dang often. My Lestrade are small pipes. I have 2 rusticated and the Smooth. On average, they're 41mm high and 45mm wide. They are closer to the 03 shape than the XL02.
Yet, they were advertised at 46-48mm high and 50mm wide. That's a significant difference and it's just disappointing, really.
I hear ya. I did write 'XL02' but I meant the XL23 instead, the Lestrade's shape no.My XL 02 walnut spigot's bowl is smaller than my Lestrade but holds more tobacco. The Lestrade is a bit shallower. Also tends to clog too dang often.![]()
Peterson started this new date stamping this year, I believe. I recall reading/hearing this somewhere (maybe PPN) a while back.I just noticed the 'Made in Ireland' stamp on both my Lestrade seem to have the year of production included in the middle. '2025', which I deduct is the year it was made. I really don't see what else it could mean.
Anyone lese has noticed this on their Petes?
Anyone notice the smooth and sandblast are vulcanite, but the rusticated are acrylic?may 6th for US release, i'd feel they're in your wheelhouse (and @BenMN)
There were several at the Peterson meetup in Chicago.Wow, I would love to see one of those giants in the flesh.
Wouldn't surprise me if that were incorrect and they are all vulcaniteAnyone notice the smooth and sandblast are vulcanite, but the rusticated are acrylic?
Didn’t notice but only looked at them at release hoping they’d sell fast enough for them to consider a second run of short armysAnyone notice the smooth and sandblast are vulcanite, but the rusticated are acrylic?
When I browsed the available pipes, I did see vulcanite rusticated pipes. In my experience, the mouthpiece material varies by series, not by whether it is rusticated, sandblasted, or smooth.Anyone notice the smooth and sandblast are vulcanite, but the rusticated are acrylic?
Very nice 2020 POTY! I thought I didn't like how they did this 9BC but yours looks more plump and curvy than others.Approved by the Society of Nocturnal Moths

Interesting how the stem blemishes show up with the flash but not so much in normal light...
