I don't know if this is the correct thread to ask this question but does anyone know if someone has written about smoking a pub pipe or hungarian shape versus a regular pipe ? to which you could direct me ?
My Pub pipe smokes differently than all my other large pipes and I am wondering if that is unique to the shape and system. I checked Peterson Pipe Notes and this forum but didn't find what I am looking for. Thank you for any references. All the best !
P.S. The tobacco only burns when being drawn yet the ember takes the longest time to die out if set down.

I feel incredibly lucky with this find. Unsmoked Meerschaum 69, 2006 hallmark.
Out of the non-system line, the 69 is easily my favorite shape.
Tomorrow, it will loose its "unsmoked" status.

i just love this shape. I have a Fermoy B10. Dig the orange stem.
I hated this shape until I saw the 2022 Spigot B10 after it sold out. Now I just cry every night.
This arrived yesterday and was perfect, as it was my birthday. Estate, (but obviously new to me) so I christened it with G&H Birds Eye. That blend always satisfies...
Anyhow, I really like the system spigot and I'll likely get more in the future.
So it was a great purchase, happy to have done so.
Today, I received what every pipe person desperately needs: a new Peterson.

Pulled the trigger on a CP Sherlock Holmes Barley Milverton - as usual several minutes after I ordered came the email letting me know they dropped, lol. A shape I don’t have. 
I grabbed an Original. Wanted a Rathbone but didnt like the birds eye grain on them
