Here's a Nording 20 Grade I picked up the other day. Reminds me of Poul Ilsted's work. The finish is one of the smoothest I've encountered and is not lacquered.
Here’s another Nording high-grade (18) I purchased new about eight years ago. I was really taken with the shape, the faux amber stem and especially the staining which is unlike that of any other pipe I’ve ever seen. Sadly the photos really don’t do it justice. It’s almost a translucent light orange that has darkened over time. Just gorgeous! The finish is as smooth as glass without being lacquered or coated. I think I’ve received more “nice pipe!” compliments on this one than any other pipe in my collection.
Only just saw this thread now shortly after starting a new one...that's how excited I was!
Anyway...just got this sweetie today...
Damn there are some real beauties posted here...now I know why this one wanted me
Hi guys,
This is my Erik Nording pipe, I just got it from Denmark from a friend of mine.
Can you please identify which model/make it is. It was actually handmade by Erik Nording himself (or so I'm told)
Wow beautiful pipes guys, I am impatiently waiting on my new Nording to get here on monday! I just bought a partially rusticated freehand today and have been drooling over pictures of it! Have read nothing but great things about these pipes. I wanted a Peterson but I've heard quality is hit or miss so I'll keep an eye out for a estate I like when I see one. After seeing these pipes I was just taken and couldn't stop staring at these things!! I'll post a pic when it gets here.
